February was a fast but fabulous month! March is looking to be pretty fabulous as well. Here's what I'm currently up to these past few and the coming weeks...
wishing // this gorgeous, sunshine-y weather would mean spring is here. We've had such a mild winter, I don't necessarily have cabin fever, it's just that I can't wait to be outside more often!
craving // healthy things and it's wonderful! (No more gummy fruit snacks or Frank's red hot sauce poured on tortilla chips.) My favorite things to eat right now are roasted asparagus and a salad of spring greens, strawberries, pecans, cheese and poppyseed dressing.
going // to visit my little brother's new house this weekend. So excited for him on the journey of home ownership, and to see all the renovations he'd done (or planned) so far. (although I'm still sad he didn't buy the house in our neighborhood...how amazing would that have been!)
wearing // most of my pre-pregnancy clothes and wondering where baby is hiding in there.
learning // that my fears and anxieties about this pregnancy are simply evidence that learning to trust in God no matter what is a lifelong lesson, it just looks a little different each season. Thank goodness He's so patient with me.

It is so good to crave healthy things!! That's been happening to me as well in this pregnancy. I usually like healthy things, but I've seriously been craving fresh fruits and salads, which is awesome!! Especially since my childbirth class involves keeping a food diary that the teacher looks at; the healthy stuff makes me feel better :) It's funny how you mention pre-pregnancy clothes-it's one of those things where every woman fills out differently in each pregnancy, I think! I'm 23 weeks, and all of my pre-pregnancy clothes except one or two pieces still fit me very well-there's just a tiny bump where baby is. Besides how each woman grows differently, it also may depend on what kind of clothes you wear. For me, my wardrobe consists almost entirely of skirts and dresses (I own absolutely no jeans), which can easily be pulled over or under the bump, I've been finding.
ReplyDeleteI guess our body knows what we need and makes us crave it! :D
DeleteSkirts and dresses are adorable in pregnancy-- I'm excited that a lot of my summer dresses will probably still fit over a bump. ;)
You are lucky that you are craving eating all things healthy! Normally I just crave sour patch kids and chocolate iced coffee! Although I do love roasted asparagus!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I definitely had my phase of craving gummy bears and fruit snacks!!
DeleteI LOVED it when my second trimester hit and suddenly all I wanted was a huge salad every day, plus lots of meat and eggs. Waiting for that to hit again... it's so nice to get out of the survival mode of morning sickness. :P
ReplyDeleteAwww!! I didn't know you are expecting number two!!! Congratulations! <3
