Currently // Vol. 1

I've long been a fan of the 'currently' blog posts so I'm jumping in on one today! This particular link-up is hosted by Anne in Residence and Gold and Bloom.

resolving: to have a hopeful heart this year. To be positive and trust in God's love and mercy rather than let fear or anxiety have a hold on my heart.

reading: Rediscover Jesus by Matthew Kelly, and Rest Assured by Vicki Courtney (review coming soon!).

organizing: absolutely nothing. And that's the problem. ;) There are several closets and cupboards on my list.

loving: my sweet husband for taking care of things (and me!) while I've been experiencing first trimester fatigue and sickness. Every symptom is so worth the thought of our little one, but I've felt guilty at times for my decreased homemaking!

craving: Ice cream. I've been so good about avoiding sugar as much as possible lately, but man. A bowl of moose tracks...or even just plain old vanilla...sounds amazing.

What are you up to currently? I'd love to hear some of your answers in the comments!

  1. Hang in there, Laura! The fatigue was probably the roughest part of pregnancy for me so far-I'm very much a "doer," and all of a sudden, I found it hard to do anything! (I have loads of respect and admiration for pregnant ladies who regularly leave home to work full-time jobs!) I just started getting my energy back right before Christmas started, so right now, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things-working on writing projects, blogging more, preparing for a retreat that I'm working on later this month, and just getting to hang out with my husband and our new games that we received for Christmas :)

  2. Ice cream, sugar, cookies, cakes...oh my! You would think we would be done with all this sugar after a holiday full of it. It gets better, the second trimester you will feel amazing.

  3. Our priest gave a copy of Rediscover Jesus to every family at the Christmas Eve Mass last week! I immediately started reading it, and thought it was quite a nice thing for him to do!

  5. Things got way better after the first trimester with me... fingers crossed for you! And I decided ice cream didn't count as a pregnancy craving because I ALWAYS want it. Moose tracks is one of my favorites! Thanks for linking up :)

  6. With the organizing...I'm sure nesting will kick in and then you won't be able to stop! This even happens when you're adopting. haha So if you run out of things to organize this early summer, feel free to stop by my house ;) -Jessica, Sweet Little Ones
